PD.1 Players Distance Iron

I will break down the review in 4 parts: Look, Feel, Accuracy and Consistency
also some info- Im a high handicap (20)
Looks: They're a very simple but Sleek looking club, making the Haywood logo on it small was a great choice as it really shows off the sleekness of the club.
Feel: The clubs feel great, you know how you hit it instantly to help correct for future swings. Striking pure feels like cutting through butter. The clubs have a naturally heavy feel (steel shaft vs graphite) which i personally like.
Accuracy: i went from Game improvement to players distance irons and actually improved my accuracy (cone shape) by 10 yards tighter on average.
Consistency: That being said these clubs are a little rough on forgiveness when it comes to distance. Ive had mishits lose 20-30 yards distance (5-6 iron). I haven't had any fliers with these clubs which is nice. I do have to put a note here that those mishits are on me and my improving swing and not the clubs.
Overall i am thrilled with how they have played so far in the sim and i hope they can stay that way on the course to improve my handicap.

I recently purchased a set of PD.1 irons and did not really know what to expect. They arrived ahead of schedule and I was blown away with the quality and in particular the look. The finish is outstanding and the craftmanship is fantastic. The minimal offset and compact head look great from the top. The feel at impact is solid and more forgiving than anticipated. I was so happy with the purchase I immediately ordered the AW and plan to add a 56 and 60 in the near term. Customer service was very helpful and responded on a Sunday! I totally recommend these irons. Dealing with Haywood Golf has been very easy.

I took the step up from game improvement to players distance and the PD.1's have been an easy transition. I've been taking golf more seriously in the last year or two and these clubs have been a great step up. These irons perform great along with the affordability. Love this from a Canadian company.

I have owned p790s, p770s, and takomo 101ts and these Haywood irons blow all of them out of the water!! I bought a full set of irons and also the Haywood wedges and I’ve played them 4-5 times now and every time I come home my wife gets sick of me talking about how amazing these clubs are. Josh Haywood and the crew at Haywood golf know what they are doing! If you are on the fence about buying a set of PD.1s take my word for it they are worth ever single penny! Plus to be a fellow Canadian it makes me proud to see a local company produce something of this high quality that can compete at the highest level. Fantastic product and well done Haywood!

Purchased a set of the PD.1s mid-summer, upgrading from a big brand game improvement club. I was upfront at the fitting that my current clubs were probably fine, and if the numbers didn't support moving to players distance club then I wouldn't be buying anything. The fitter was totally understanding, and it was a zero pressure situation.

I was a little skeptical of quality based on the price of the PD.1s, but after a few swings at the fitting, any skepticism was gone. The clubs are gorgeous, feel incredible to swing, and are incredibly consistent. I've played about 20 rounds with them since purchasing, and have only good things to say. My only frustration is now I can't blame any bad shots on my clubs.

The entire experience was a 10/10 for me, and I recommend booking a fitting to everyone.
